To connect the device to WiFi, first, ensure you have a secured 2.4GHz WiFi network. Download the app, then press and hold the on/off button for 5 seconds until the red indicator light blinks rapidly to connect the network. If the indicator light remains red, it means the device is not connected to the network. If the router is changed, hold the on/off button for 5 seconds to reconnect.
The Three-way Master Dimmer Switches allow you to replace a current three-way setup in a hallway and use the other master switch in a bedroom. Control the 1% to 100% brightness of 1 light from 2 places by sliding your fingers up and down. Dimmers give you the wonderful feature of dimming the lights from your phone.
With the Treatlife APP, you can use your phone anywhere to check that lights are turned off when you are away and turn them off remotely if anyone accidentally leaves them on. You can also set schedules and timers to change the brightness or turn on or off the lights, making it convenient to have the lights on when you get home at night.
Additionally, you can add a group of Treatlife smart dimmer switches in the APP and turn on all lights in the house with one click, as well as share the device with your family members.
Regarding troubleshooting, ensure your home circuit has a neutral wire, as the switch requires it for compatibility. Install only one 3-way dimmer switch per circuit, placing it on the side near the power source. If the light is flashing unexpectedly, utilize one of the three compatibility modes available on the app.
When wiring, tighten the wire cap securely, as failure to do so may prevent the switch from receiving power, leading to malfunctions. During the pairing process, ensure it occurs in the 2.4 GHz network frequency band, as the switch doesn't support pairing in the 5 GHz frequency band.
The 3-way dimmable switch can be used as a 3-way or single-pole main switch, allowing you to install it to replace a current 3-way setup in a hallway or your bedroom. Just replace one of the two 3-way dimmer switches and leave your other existing 3-way switch in place, making sure to install the Treatlife switch on the line side (the source of power).
