The Cync Smart Home Ecosystem offers a range of smart lighting solutions to upgrade your home. These include Cync Smart Switches, which work seamlessly with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi connections.
The Cync or C by GE Wired Smart Switches are compatible with most networks that combine 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands into a single network. You can connect and control other Cync or C by GE devices by assigning them to the same app Room or Group within the Cync app.
There are two main types of Cync Smart Switches - 3-Wire (No Neutral) and 4-Wire (Neutral Wire Required). The 3-Wire switches are suitable for older homes that may not have a neutral wire in the switch outlet box. If a neutral wire is present, the 4-Wire Smart Switch is recommended.
For installation, 3-Wire (No Neutral) Smart Switches require Line, Load and Ground wires, while 4-Wire (Neutral Wire) Smart Switches need Line, Load, Ground and Neutral wires.
It's important to note that all GE Cync smart switches only work with 120 volts, not 220 volts.
